Garrett Hack seminar

Saturday, March 17, 2018 - 8:30am
Presenter for the meeting:
Garrett Hack

The  Garrett Hack seminar to be held on Saturday, March 17 from 8:30 - 4:30 and on Sunday, March 18 from 8:30 - 4:30.

· It will be held at the German-American Society, located at 3717 S. 120th St.

· The cost will be $75 if you pay by March 1. This includes two days of tuition, continental breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack.

· Omaha Woodworkers Guild members get a $25 discount, so your net amount for the seminar is $50. Please note that annual dues for the Guild are $30, so you're getting most of that back with the discount.

· Please note that your 2018 dues must be paid before you can get the discount. As Dave Duey mentioned at the January meeting, to keep things simple and straight for accounting purposes, please pay your 2018 dues with a separate check and pay for the seminar with a separate check.

· Note that the cost at the door is $85 (less the Guild discount for a net payment of $60.) This covers the hassle factor because we have to give the German-American Society a headcount a couple weeks in advance and they have to estimate the number of late attendees.

· Lastly, the cost for Students with their Student ID is $30. This covers the cost of meals for the two days. Tuition is free. We want to give woodworking/shop students the opportunity to experience a presentation by someone of Garrett's caliber, as they are the next generation of woodworkers.

· I want to highlight the fact that the $75 cost of this seminar for 16 hours of instruction by someone of Garrett Hack's talent and stature in the woodworking community, plus four meals and two snacks over two days, is an amazing price that you will never see anywhere else.
